LCSW, Founder

For me, the greatest personal growth and healing comes from creating a safe, warm, human, and non-judgmental environment. It's something I've always strived to achieve in my many years of practice. My approach to therapy is flexible and tailored to your unique needs, combining talk therapy, EMDR, and strengths-based practices to help you achieve your goals.

I originally earned my MSW degree from New York University, and completed additional training in EMDR and trauma. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, families, couples, and groups. I am also fluent in American Sign Language and have worked closely with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities. I’m honored to work with clients of all ages—Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing alike.

I currently see clients virtually in Los Angeles, New York and Massachusetts.

The impact anxiety, trauma, or an eating disorder can have on a human is profound.  One of the greatest gifts in my 20+ years of practice has been to witness individuals as they heal, and reclaim their health, happiness and wholeness.

After I obtained my MSW degree from NYU, I completed postgraduate training in eating disorders and body image issues at the Women's Therapy Centre Institute, and in Trauma Studies at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy.  In addition, I completed a three-year training in Somatic Experiencing and went on to become an SE assistant.  Interested in creating a culturally and spiritually sensitive practice, I completed courses in Judaism, Native American Spirituality, as well as a two-year program studying the world's major faith traditions.  These studies have been a gift, and help me to better understand and appreciate my clients various religions and spiritual practices in a deeper way.

I have run eating disorder groups for NYU, various nonprofits, as well as within my practice.  I have served as both a lecturer and group case consultant on eating disorders and trauma at postgraduate institutes in New York City.  Mentoring, supporting and providing consultation to early career therapists is one of my passions.

I currently see clients in California, Colorado, and New York.

One of the primary reasons why I became a therapist is because I genuinely care about people and want to see them thrive. Initially, I received an undergraduate degree in business, but upon realizing that I wanted to follow a more passionate path, I completed my Master’s in Clinical Social Work at the University of Southern California. I have further supplemented my education by training under experts such as Dr. Gabor Maté, Dr. Dan Siegal, and Andrew Tatarsky.

Compassion and trust are the foundation of the therapeutic bond that I build with my clients. Though I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), somatic perspective, modern attachment theory, neurobiology, mindfulness, and more.

I do not use an isolated modality for treatment purposes. Instead, I embrace a holistic approach where I utilize strategies and information from various schools of thought to provide clients with a highly tailored experience where everything comes together.

My approach is 100% client-centered and developed around their needs. I have a natural tendency to create a safe space for others, where they have room to explore themselves without feeling pressured or judged. I do not start with a formulaic plan. I allow my clients to control the direction of their treatment. I believe that the client knows themselves best, and my role is to supply them with support and clinical tools that help them discover practical solutions to actualize the life they want to live.
